Dr. Heilman, better known as "Dr. John", has
been practicing in Douglasville, Georgia since 1975. Upon graduating
from Temple University School of Dentistry and completing a two-year
residency in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Christopher's Hospital in
Philadelphia in 1969, he then served as a Captain in the U.S. Army.
He was stationed in Germany as a Pediatric dentist and consultant to
the Surgeon General.
Upon moving to Atlanta in 1973, Dr. Heilman was
an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Emory University
School of Dentistry and a consultant
to the Georgia Retardation Center Dental Department and since has
lectured to various dental organizations, hospitals and schools. He
attends numerous continuing education seminars each year and is a
member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Georgia
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeast Society of Pediatric Dentists, the Georgia Dental Association, The American Dental
Association and the West Georgia Dental Study Club. He and his wife
enjoy fishing, boating, auto racing, cooking and music.
